Hydraulic Piston Motors Start-up and Assembly instructions

VERY IMPORTANT
motores hidráulicos de pistones

The moment of installing and start-up a hydraulic piston motor is very important, so the installer must take into account the following general assembly instructions:

  • Having assimilated the basic concepts of hydraulic systems. If not fully understood or if the process of replacing a hydraulic motor is beyond one's capabilities, it is recommended to seek assistance from a qualified professional with experience in order to prevent possible personal injury or damage to the hydraulic system during the assembly and start-up processes of the hydraulic motor.
  • clean and new hydraulic oil
  • Filling the hydraulic motor body with oil through the drainage connection at the top and through the oil inlet and outlet connections of the motor.
  • filling hydraulic motor body with hydraulic oil
  • The oil used in the hydraulic system must be completely clean of impurities before installing the hydraulic motor. Also clean pipes and the internal walls of the hydraulic tank.
  • The hydraulic system must be completely bled (pump, pipes, fittings, actuators, and other components) to prevent air from entering the hydraulic circuit.
  • Check the condition of the connections and their seals, the condition of rigid/flexible pipes, and the condition of the tank. Ensure there are no leaks or air entry into the circuit (to avoid cavitation).
  • The type of hydraulic oil must be suitable for the hydraulic motor and the entire hydraulic system.
  • Change the filters and add clean hydraulic oil.
  • hydraulic filters
  • Reduce the pressure of safety valves to a minimum. Operate the unit at minimum speed and with zero pressure (or minimum pressure) for several minutes and gradually increase the rpm and pressure to the level recommended by the machine manufacturer.
  • The motor must be mounted with the drain port at the top. Connect the drainage line directly to the tank below the oil level of the tank.
  • Check the condition of the drainage line to ensure there are no restrictions hindering the flow of oil to the tank.
  • Avoid axial and radial efforts on the motor shaft as much as possible.
  • The diameters of pipes, hoses, fittings, accessories, and other components of the oil flow circuit must be appropriately sized and suitable for the maximum oil flow that may occur in the hydraulic system.
  • All piping of the oleohydraulic circuit must be free of very tight bends.
  • To reduce vibration levels, flexible tubing is recommended instead of rigid tubing.
  • Ensure there are no oil leaks in the suction pipe and that the circuit does not take in air (check for bubbles in the tank).
  • These instructions are general for hydraulic piston motors. Each motor model may have its specific manufacturer's instructions, so if in doubt, consult the specific catalog for your hydraulic motor model.
  • Ensure that all required procedures are carried out correctly, otherwise the manufacturer's warranty would be invalidated.
